Streaming wars have been going on for years, with services like Hulu, Amazon, and Netflix churning out a ton of original movie content. Well the color intrigued me. It seems that Extraction 2 will paint many different colors than in the first film, as it continues the action-packed story of Chris Hemsworth’s lead man, Tyler Rake. And it looks like the change in the physical environment will help make the second installment of the burgeoning franchise of Netflix’s first film unique.
In addition to taking place in a different physical location, Joe Russo also vaguely teased how Extraction 2 it will have a new tone compared to the original. It should be interesting to see how / why this change occurs. But since audiences are already familiar with the game and players, including Chris Hemsworth hero Joe Russo and director Sam Hargrave, should be able to make bold narrative decisions without worrying about whether or not the audience will be involved.
Not much is known about the mysterious contents of Extraction 2, but Netflix gave fans a crumb through the first exciting teaser you can see above. The first shoot confirmed that Chris Hemsworth’s character Tyler Rake survived the events of the first film, even though he was presumed to have died after the final conflict. It was suggested in final moments of the original action movie , when he was apparently seen watching Ovi from afar. We’ll have to see if this young character ends up being a factor in the sequel’s action.
