Especially since we can’t have just one GI Joe, that would be weird. So let’s say two GI Joes and our cast is almost complete! We have yet to find a story that works on this scale.

The story must be connected to human beings

In addition to the question of the number of main characters on which there would still be much to discuss, Lorenzo di Bonaventura would also like to develop a story more linked to man. For the moment there is nothing written and the producer doesn’t yet know how it will end, but he already has some ideas.

Until now, the danger came either from the possibility of mass extinction – with the arrival of bad guys from elsewhere – or from problems related to robots and their struggle. Nothing that actually has to do with man. So this crossover is an opportunity to deal with a very human evil and an earthly problem. I don’t know how we’re going to do it yet, but for example we could have Cobra form an alliance with the Decepticons. This is how we should see things, in my opinion. And I want a villain from the GI Joe universe, because they have to admit, they’re great villains (laughs).
