Netflix: new films expected in July 2024

Who says new month, says new additions on Netflix! And the month of July is off to a great start on the platform as it will offer, from July 5ththe huge animated hit Super Mario Bros. the film released last year. With $1.3 billion at the global box office, it is the second-biggest box office result of 2023, just behind Barbie (which had grossed $1.4 billion in revenue).

Recall that in the film with the famous characters from Nintendo games, Mario and Luigi, two plumbers from Brooklyn, discover a mysterious underground world. While attempting to repair a water leak, they are sucked into a magical tube and find themselves separated. Mario lands in the Mushroom Kingdom, ruled by Princess Peach, while Luigi finds himself in the Dark Lands, controlled by the evil King Bowser.

The film follows the adventures of Mario, Peach and Toad through various fantasy environments as they attempt to save Luigi and stop Bowser from destroying the Mushroom Kingdom.

Another huge success (the biggest success in France, never equalled) coming to Netflix for the first time in France: Titanic, James Cameron’s masterpiece, with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. The film will be added to the catalog on next July 15th, and should quickly rank among the most watched films. Maybe it will be able to reach a whole new generation of viewers who didn’t have the chance to discover it at the cinema when it was released.

We remain nostalgic with the addition of the Netflix original film Beverly Hills Cop 4worn again by Eddie Murphy, which will arrive on July 3 on the platform in France, and around the world.

Netflix: new series for July 2024

As far as series go, there’s a lot going on in July 2024, especially with new seasons eagerly awaited by subscribers.

In order, there will be season 3 of Vikings: Valhalla which will arrive on Netflix July 11th. In this new season, the plot picks up seven years after the events of the previous one. Freydis is now the undisputed leader of Jomsborg, while Leif and Harald have found glory in Constantinople. However, they still have to overcome trials to reach their final destiny.

The highly anticipated season 3 of the Korean horror series will begin on July 19th Sweet Home which will be added, just six months after the success of the second season. The fight between monsters and humans is still far from over.

Finally, if you still follow the Spanish series Elitethe eighth (and final) season will be added on July 26.
