A long-awaited battle is brewing
Deadpool and Wolverine is announced as a great celebration of superhero cinema, necessarily unusual and crazy since it is led by the inimitable Wade Wilson/Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds). But this new film, if it gives pride of place to jokes and irony, is nevertheless very serious in its ambition and will offer, in particular to Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), the return of at least one of his enemy cults: Sabre teeth (Sabretooth in VO).
In fact, in a new teaser just revealed (video at the top of the article) – we no longer count promotional images and videos of Deadpool and Wolverine -, we can discover a sequence in which Wolverine prepares to fight against Sabretooth. The latter, played here by Tyler Mane, has already appeared twice in the X-Men films. In the first outing in 2000 under the guise of Tyler Mane, then in The origins of X-Men: Wolverine in 2009, played by Liev Schreiber.
Deadpool and Wolverine calibrated to break everything
This new addition to the menu of Deadpool and Wolverine confirms that director Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds have thought about the fans of the Marvel universe and in particular those of Wolverine. In fact, I like this Victor Creed that is to say Sabretooth were both guinea pigs for the project Weapon and we know each other very well. While Wolverine does everything he can to contain his murderous impulses, Sabretooth gives in completely.
According to projections of The QuorumShawn Levy’s film is reportedly aiming for its first weekend in North American theaters around $200-240 million box office receipts. A very high performance, which if achieved would make it best launch in history for an R-rated film.
