These are unique and magical moments. And nothing better than with good music. Coldplay treated their fans to a special show by inviting Michael J. Fox on stagethe “Back to the Future” actor, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991.
It happened at Glastonbury Festival in 2024. There, Chris Martin surprised everyone by invoking Fox. “Here comes a legendary Michael,” Martin sang, strumming his guitar. “Simply brilliant stuff. With his Chuck Berry riff and the way he hit Biff, ladies and gentlemen, welcome Michael J. Fox,” he said.
And of course the stadium practically collapsed.
In a wheelchair, the actor joined the group with a guitar, improvising with them in the last two songs of their presentation, “Humankind” and “Fix You”.
In fact, during the last song, Martin joined Fox’s front stage as he played the first part of the dramatic bridge.
“The main reason we’re in a band is to see ‘Back to the Future’. So thank you to our eternal hero and one of the most incredible people ever, Mr. Michael J. Fox,” concluded the happy and excited Coldplay frontman.
