The Authentic Decadents celebrate 25 years of “Anyone Can Sing”

They’re partying. One more time. The Authentic Decadents celebrate 25 years of “Anyone Can Sing”one of their landmark albums.

With hits like “Lospirates”, “How Will I Forget” and “The Great Lord”, the album hit the streets in 1997. And It was the first album produced by the band.without an outside producer.

Bassist Pablo Armesto, percussionist La Moska Lorenzo and guitarist and singer Jorge Serrano were very involved, and he asked for a special participation from everyone in the composition. They decide to record in the United States, where the group leaves one month with all their families.

The title also originated from a “brainstorming” group, where unusual titles such as “Washing dirty clothes” appeared. Finally, the name proposed by Serrano was left: “Anyone Can Sing”, a true statement of principles.

All three cuts from the album had famous high-rotation music videos on music video channels of the time. And in the case of “Los Piratas”, they had several friends who made cameos in the set, such as Andrés Calamaro, El Bahiano, Lía Crucet, Antonio Ríos and Divina Gloria.
