No Way Up is available in France
After the crazy success of the Netflix film Under the Seine Shark movies have become popular around the world in recent weeks. And Canal+ has understood this well, as it has added two recent movies with dangerous sharks. So, after adding this gripping survival in which friends must survive an attack, Canal+ has made the unreleased film available to its subscribers No way outwith a plot as disturbing as it is incredible. The film, in fact, brings together two very common phobias among the population: the fear of plane crashes and the fear of shark attacks.
The story begins when the daughter of a prominent politician goes on vacation to Cabo with her boyfriend, his bodyguard and another friend. A few minutes after the plane took off, one of the reactors exploded after a bird collided the plane crashes into the sea.

After the trauma of the accident, the few survivors realize they are in an airplane wreck, several meters deep, in a bubble of air. The front of the vessel is submerged and threatens to sink even deeper into the sea (it rests on a rock, overlooking a trench). Already in dire straits, the situation takes an even more nightmarish turn when sharks begin devouring the bodies of the passengers who died in the crash and threaten to attack the small group of survivors.
An effective disaster movie
The surviving passengers have no choice but to wait for help to arrive, while trying to keep the sharks at bay. An operation that obviously proves very difficult.
No way out directed by Claudio Fäh stands out in the highly codified genre of shark films with an original starting idea. Although it does not revolutionize the genre, the film manages to keep it effective suspense during its 90 minutes. No way out is perfectly calibrated for a streaming release during the month of July. A theatrical release, on the other hand, might have seemed disproportionate given the film’s modest ambition.
