Space Jam New Era: The Sequel to a 90’s Classic
The film Space Jam: New Erareleased in 2021, it is the sequel to the cult film Space Jamreleased in 1996. This new version, directed by Malcolm D. The plot of this sequel focuses on LeBron James and his son Dom, a game developer who is passionate about video games. During a visit to Warner Bros. Studios, they are sucked into Warner Bros.’ “Server World”. a digital universe controlled by artificial intelligence called Al-G Rhythm, played by Don Cheadle. The latter kidnaps Dom, hoping to exploit his talents for his own purposes.
To save his son, the AI tells LeBron that he must win a basketball game against his team, made up of digital avatars of famous NBA and WNBA players, known as the Goon Squad. Aided by the Looney Tunes, including stars Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Lola Bunny, LeBron must not only win the game, but also reconnect with his son.
