Max released, this Thursday (25), the first trailer for City of God: The Fight Doesn’t Stopderived series of God’s citywhich promises to expand the universe of the feature film released in 2002, nominated for four categories at the Oscars, including Best Director for Fernando Meirelles.

What is the story of City of God: The Fight Doesn’t Stop?

An adapted sequel to the literary work of Paulo Linsthe series is set in the early 2000s, when a young drug dealer’s release from prison puts Cidade de Deus in a new dispute. After the event, the residents find themselves cornered between drug dealers, militia and government authorities, but the need to escape this cycle makes the community unite to face the oppressors.
