The final episode of Stranger Thingswhich comes to an end after nine years with the release of its fifth and final season in November, will be shown in more than 350 cinemas. The information is from Variety.
“Seeing the finale on the big screen, with incredible sound and visuals, in a room full of fans seems like the perfect way to celebrate the end of this adventure”stated the Duffer Brotherscreators of Stranger Thingsin a press release. “It’s something we’ve dreamed about for years and we’re so grateful to everyone at Netflix for making it happen.”
The sessions take place between December 31, 2025, when the finale hits the Netflix catalogue, and January 1, 2026. There is still no information, however, whether the release will be worldwide or just in the United States.

What to expect from season 5 of Stranger Things?
Created by Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things follows a group of teenagers who face supernatural forces and secret conspiracies in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, during the 1980s. Launched in 2016, the series has become one of Netflix’s most popular productions, accumulating more than 230 nominations and 70 awards, including Emmys and the SAG Award for Best Cast in a Drama Series.
The final season will be set in the fall of 1987, shortly after the events of Year Four. Hawkins is now in military quarantine following the opening of the Rifts, and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown, Enola Holmes) needs to go back into hiding.
The core group — Mike (Finn Wolfhard, Ghostbusters: Beyond), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo, Honor Society), Luke (Caleb McLaughlin, Cowboy at All Proof), Will (Noah Schnapp, Abe) and other allies — unites to face one final threat: Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2) has disappeared, but its presence remains a growing threat.

When does the 5th and final season of Stranger Things?
The last chapter of Stranger Things will be released in three parts on Netflix: Volume 1 premieres on November 26, 2025with the first four episodes. Volume 2 arrives in December 25, 2025with three more episodes. Finally, the final episode premieres on December 31, 2025.
