Despite not having any concrete plans, Brad Pitt is greatly inspired by artists who work even at an advanced age, such as architect Frank Gehry.
World famous actor, featured in films such as Fight Club (1999), Troy (2004), Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood (2019), Inglourious Basterds (2009) and World War Z (2013), Brad Pitt revealed how he is in the “last stages” of his career.
Currently 60 years old, the artist spoke with GQ to promote Wolvesoriginal series of Prime Videoand explained and opened up about a phrase he often says in interviews: “I’m on my last leg.”
“I meant it like seasons. You know, there was a shift from the safety of the Ozarks. You embark on this thing and it’s all about discovery and it’s really exciting and interesting and painful and horrible and all that,” he said.
“And then when you’re allowed into the big leagues, it becomes another game of responsibilities and things to answer for,” he continued. Brad Pitt. “But also opportunity and pleasure and working with people you really respect. And so it’s that time now.”
What will these last years be like? At 80, the body becomes more fragile. And yet I look at [o arquiteto canadense] Frank Gehry. He’s just the most lovely man. And he’s 95 years old and he still makes great art and has a beautiful family. And I think that’s the formula for staying creative and still loving your life.
