Cold play has just marked a milestone: its “Music of the Spheres” tour has become the highest-grossing tour in rock history, with $945 million raised and more than 8.8 million tickets sold.
The previous owner of the record was Elton John, who with his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour had accumulated $940 million. And then U2 followed with their “360 Tour”, Guns N’ Roses with “Not In This Lifetime Tour” and the Rolling Stones with “A Bigger Bang Tour”.
However, Coldplay made historyOf course, to achieve this, the group toured five continents, selling tickets in each of the cities where they performed.
In Argentina, in fact, they have exhausted 10 consecutive dates at the River stadium, in November 2022.
And it must be recognized that each presentation offered a visual and auditory spectacle where music was combined with projections, light effects and a unique atmosphere that transformed each concert into an unforgettable experience.
