The end is coming soon for The boysbut not for the spin-offs
For once, we can’t say that the end of a series will take its audience by surprise. In early June, Eric Kripke, the creator of The boysannounced its creation will end at the end of season 5. An announcement that came before Prime Video even aired the fourth season. A joint decision between the showrunner and the streaming service and that should allow the program to avoid getting too long. Because when a show is a success, producers tend to want to make the most of it. But with The boyswe will therefore have to settle for five seasons (which is already a lot).
It should be noted, however, that the universe based on the comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson will continue to develop on the small screen before derived series. It’s already there Gen Vof which the second season will arrive soon, while a spin-off is in development in Mexico.

Lots of deaths in season 5
As for The Boys, we’ll have to wait a bit before we can find out about the show’s latest episodes. Eric Kripke took the time to discuss it on the microphone of Full film. The creator then made a big preview about the series finale, which could lead to many deaths.
There will probably be a lot of deaths. (…) There’s no guarantee who’s going to survive, because we don’t have to hold them back for another season. So really shocking and important things can happen all the time.
The creator clarified that while he enjoyed great freedom with Prime Video, he still felt a lot of pressure. According to him, “a lot of series endings suck“, and wouldn’t want it to be the same for The boys. Especially since season 4 was a hit with the public. While fans have generally been satisfied with the series so far, if Eric Kripke and his writers, the latter will remember it “The Boys was a good show, until they ruined it all“.
We don’t know yet when the fifth season will start. The boys. But after this announcement, fans might worry about their favorite characters, as some might not survive. Before we get there, season 2 of Gen Vexpected for 2025will make a direct connection with The boys.
