NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has been a strong proponent of Netflix’s success, but he spoke after watching the large-scale finale to explain why he was a little disappointed with the final episodes of Season 4.

Vecna was gone when everyone ran away, she was super predictable. And with our Hawkins heroes battling different villains each season (the Demogorgon, the Mind Flayer, the Spider Monster, and now Vecna), I can definitely see how disappointed one can be at the prospect of a recurring villain in Season 5.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar also called the anxious teen characters for being so brave in the fight against these otherworldly monsters, but still unable to express their emotions to each other. However, their biggest complaint may have come at the very end, when the group climbed a hill to see dead flowers, huge chasms in the ground, lightning strikes and earth-shattering tornadoes. Visually disturbing is the final scene in which Eleven and the Scooby gang climb a hill to examine a field of flowers that has withered due to the invasion of the Upside Down. Everyone looks at the blackened flowers in horror. Then they look up and see the entire sky on the horizon filled with dark tornadoes and lightning. It’s kind of like frowning at a bloodstain on your swimsuit and then realizing that a shark has grabbed your leg. Stunt directing shouldn’t ignore the way people would actually act.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s reviews are honest, but not unfair, and he clearly values the show highly and says he can’t wait. Strange things Season 5 . We may have to wait a while for that, and many will surely remember how long it took before this new series of episodes saw the light of day.
