Robert Downey Jr. and Jon Favreau worked together on the first two solo Iron Man films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)
Director who worked with Robert Downey Jr. in the first two solo films of Iron Man, Jon Favreau and the “Elon Musk of cinema,” according to the 59-year-old actor. The filmmaker also worked on Cowboys & Aliens (2011), The Mandalorian and The Lion King (2019).
In an interview with the podcast Awards Chatterproduced by The Hollywood Reporterrecalled what it was like to work with Favreau in the hero’s first film, released on April 30, 2008 in Brazilian cinemas.
In comparison with Musk, Downey Jr. opined how the director “has always been a technology-friendly guy… as is evident [nos projetos dele].” After the statement was published, some fans were surprised. “I don’t think RDJ wanted to belittle Favreaubut that’s the worst comparison you can make,” said one account Twitter (via NME).
