Eric Kripke spoke about the connection between the two Prime Video productions
the boys (2017) will have a direct connection with his new derivative production, The Boys Presents: Varsity. The creator of the original and executive producer of both, Eric Kripkesaid to deadline that each of the productions will have the story impacted by the other.
There’s definitely going to be a crossover, and we’re doing our best to create a universe where some of the storylines from Season 3 spill over into Varsity.
“There’s a presidential campaign in the background of this season, and some stuff at school in reaction to the events of the boyssaid krypke. “And there’s also some new spinoff storylines that we’ll have to pick up in season four.”
The Boys Presents: Varsity will accompany a young group of superheroes as they constantly test their physical, sexual and moral limits, as they compete for the best missions in the best cities. The spin-off will be set at the only university for people with special powers, according to the official synopsis.
Described as “part high school series, part The Hunger Games”, the spinoff of the boys will be starring Jaz SinclairLizze BroadwayShane Paul McGhieAimee CarreroReina Hardesty and maddie phillips. the brazilian Marco Pigossi is also confirmed in the cast.
Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters took over as showrunners for the spin-off, after the screenwriter of the boys, Craig Rosenbergleave the project due to creative differences.
The Boys Presents: Varsity has yet to receive a release date.
