Prime Video announced the release date and the first official photos of Samaritanthe highly anticipated superhero film directed by Julisu Avery starring Sylvester Stallone. In obtaining MGM by the colossus of Jeff Bezosthe film will come directly to Amazon’s streaming platform on August 26th.
The film tells the story of a thirteen -year -old Sam Cleary (Javon “Wanna” Walton) who suspects his mysterious and sad neighbor Mr. Smith (Sylvester Stallone) is none other than the vigilante of Granite City, Samaritanwho was killed after a fiery battle in a warehouse with his rival, Nemesis. Most believe the Samaritan died in the fire, but some in town, like Sam, hope he is still alive. With crime rising and the city on the brink of chaos, Sam decides to encourage his neighbors to come out of hiding to save the city from destruction.
In a recent interview, Sylvester Stallone said: “I love action movies with a heart as well. I’m glad to be in Samaritan because this story has many levels where I think people can relate to. It’s a kind of moral story that’s very exciting to watch. We are excited that this project will be available worldwide on Prime Video, where my fans and all viewers will enjoy it together around the world. “
