Superhero in spite of himself: a comedy by Philippe Lacheau
Released in theaters on February 2, 2022, Superhero in spite of himself It’s a film directed by Philippe Lacheau. After attacking Nicky Larson, this time he makes a parody superhero movies.

Cédric, a struggling actor-apprentice, finally gets his first role in a superhero movie. One night, while borrowing the car from the movie, he is involved in an accident that causes him to lose his memory. As in his previous productions, Philippe Lacheau plays the lead role and surrounds himself with his usual group of friends. We thus find at his side Elodie Fontan, Julien Arruti and Tarek Boudali.

Removed a trash scene
Superhero in spite of himself contains some rather trashy humorous scenes. We think in particular of the parody of the reverse kiss Spiderman or the final fight scene between Badman and the Clown. But this final scene had to go much further.
Indeed, Philippe Lacheau and Elodie Fontan have entrusted our colleagues FilmNews that this scene had been cut. The reason? People were shocked at the end of the test screenings. They explain:
At the test project, people were shocked. It’s the way the Clown, Badman’s sworn enemy, dies that is a problem. He went too far in every sense (…) Elodie told us “you gave up too much, you went too far”. The final scene was originally twice as long and it went way too far. We shortened it and in the end it works much better that way.
