Dexter: Sin Originalprelude to Dexter (2006-2013) and Dexter: New Blood (2021-2022), hits starring Michael C. Hall (Six Feet Under) — who returns as narrator in the new series — has received a first preview, announcing its premiere date on Paramount+. But when will the new series arrive on the streaming platform?

What is the story of Dexter: Original Sin?

Dexter: Original Sin will take us back in time to meet the youth of Dexter Morgan before he became the man we met in the original series: a forensic expert who solved crimes by day and committed murders by night.

Who else is in the cast?

Patrick Gibsonknown as The OA (2016-2019) and Shadow and Bone (2021-2023), will be the protagonist of the novelty. Christian Slater (Mr. Robot) will interpret Harry Morganthe character’s father, and Molly Brown (Back to the Dance) will live the sister of Dexter, Debra Morgan. In the original series, the characters were James Remar (Oppenheimer) and Jennifer Carpenter (White Chicks), respectively.

Dexter: Original Sin also has James Martinez (Billions) as Angel Baptistlived by David Zayas (The Expendables) in the original; Christina Milian (Love for Rent) as Maria LaGuertarole that was Luna Lauren Velez (Transformers: Dawn of the Beasts) and Alex Shimizu (The Blacklist) as Vince Masukawhich has already been interpreted by CS Lee (Chuck).

Finally, the series’ cast still brings Sarah Michelle Gellarof Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003), as the head of Dexter at the Miami Police Department; Reno Wilsonof Good Girls (2018-2021) as Bobby Wattconfidant of Harry Morgan; and Patrick Dempseyof Grey’s Anatomy (2005- ), in a role not yet revealed.

When does it premiere? Dexter: Original Sin?

Paramount+ revealed that Dexter: Original Sin will be released the next day December 13th. The streaming platform, however, has not confirmed whether the episodes will be released weekly or whether the season will be available in full upon premiere. Check out the teaser:
