Matt Reeves will go all the way

In an exclusive interview with ColliderMatt Reeves has gone even further beyond the horizon of Batman 2. In fact he expressed himself at the level of a film trilogy. Good idea the Penguin
So there will be a Batman 3except in the case where Batman 2 would be a total failure. Which, barring a surprising catastrophe, should not happen. And to ensure that expectations and pressure are controlled, the producers and creators of this new Batman cycle had the good idea of putting the spotlight not on Bruce Wayne/Batman but obviously Oswald “Oz” Pebbleaka “The Penguin”, designated as the main antagonist of the Dark Knight in this new story. Of course we will probably find the Riddler as well as the Joker, but the main thing is the history and the rise of the Penguin in the criminal underworld of Gotham.
This way, Robert Pattinson can prepare for filming Batman 2 out of sight and protect the mystery, while Colin Farrell, interpreter of Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot, “distracts” attention. A brilliant idea, since villains and antiheroes are popular, and Colin Farrell is a great actor who deserves all the attention we can give him.
The Penguin is introduced in “The Batman” as a somewhat overlooked and derided mid-level character who is not yet in the eyes of others the boss that we’ve come to know in this universe. So that was intentional because I wanted – even though it wasn’t Batman’s origin story – I wanted the origin stories of these other characters, from the Rogues Gallery, and for that story to be the entry point to the next movie from the beginning.
Matt Reeves as Christopher Nolan?
There is nothing original or new in this idea of a trilogy. In fact, from Batman Tim Burton’s 1989 film, Warner Bros. and DC Studios’ strategy will proceed with the production of three films directed by the same director.
