During the opening monologue of the 76th edition of the world’s biggest TV awards show, the presenter Eugene Levy (Schitt’s Creek) resurfaced with the recurring discussion about The Bear to be or not to be a comedy series:
“The Bear was nominated for 23 Emmys tonight, becoming the most nominated comedy in history”announced Levy. “I love the show, and I know some of you are waiting for us to make some joke about whether The Bearis really a comedy. However, in the true spirit of The Bearwe won’t make any jokes”he added, causing laughter from those present.
What is the story of The Bear?
Created by Christopher Storer (Ramy), The Bear accompanies Carmen Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White, Shameless), a renowned chef kitchen in New York. However, when he receives news that his brother has taken his own life, he decides to take over an Italian restaurant in Chicago, which is a family inheritance.
