Netflix unveils its new releases for October with two highly anticipated films

New movies for October 2024 on Netflix

After an already generous month of September, October 2024 promises to be full of new film releases on Netflix, with a variety of genres ranging from thriller to comedy to science fiction. Among the most anticipated films, two great original productions stand out: Werewolvesadapted from the famous play, and Platform 2after the immense success of 2020.

Werewolves is a French fantasy production adapted from the board game. Halfway between Jumanji AND Visitorsa family finds itself immersed in a medieval village thanks to an old magic card game. To return home, they will have to discover who among them is a werewolf, a difficult task in a world full of mysteries and supernatural creatures.

With its blend of fantasy and mystery, this film promises to be perfect family entertainment for the Halloween season. Brought to you by Franck Dubosc, Jean Reno and Suzanne Clément, the film will be available from October 23rd.

Platform 2sequel to the smash hit of 2019, continues its exploration of a dystopian prison system based on the vertical distribution of food. This time a newcomer tries overturn the brutal rules imposed by a mysterious leader. Between social criticism and breathtaking suspense, Platform 2 is one of the unmissable films of the month on Netflix. It will be available on October 4th and should provide answers to the many questions from the first part.

Netflix also celebrates Halloween with a special line-up of horror films, perfect for October evenings. We will find in particular Deliver us from evil, Halloweenthe first two films Crythe first two Annabella, Malignant or even Conjuration: Under the influence of the devil.

New series for October 2024 on Netflix

As for series, Netflix offers highly anticipated sequels to popular shows. Among them, External banks season 4 – part 1 e Heart stopper the third season particularly stands out.

External banks returns with an explosive fourth season. The Pogues, now back home, try to lead a normal life. But they soon dive again their treasure hunting adventures. New episodes will be available on October 10th.

Heart stopperthe romantic drama focusing on the relationship between Charlie and Nick returns for its third season. The two teenagers nevertheless try to develop their relationship the many obstacles that they are facing. The new episodes will arrive on October 3.
