After two years of dating, Heather Rae Young da sale at sunset Fame and HGTV’s Tarek El Moussa got married in a lavish ceremony in October 2022. But after the wedding rang, the biological clocks apparently started ticking. Young was very candid during the first and middle years of the marriage about her complicated journey of trying to get pregnant through in vitro fertilization (IVF). Well, apparently their efforts have not been in vain, as the couple announced they are finally pregnant with their first child together. And the mom-to-be explains why she was initially “shocked” when she heard the news.
The latest update fans heard came in late April, when the Netflix reality star said she “wasn’t ready” to have a full-term child, at least physically. However, as the old saying goes, “Life, hey, finds a way”. Heather Rae Young and Tarek El Moussa confirmed people that the pregnancy took place (so to speak) while they were still doing those IVF treatments, with an official embryo transfer scheduled following Autumn. young man says:
It was a great shock. We did not expect this. We had just done in vitro fertilization. We had embryos on ice. We had a plan. I believe that when you least expect it and there is no stress in your life, the world has brought us what it was meant to be. I am so excited that it happened this way.
As for Tarek El Moussa, whose long series flip or flop finished after a 10-season run earlier this year, he is also “thrilled” by the news. He already shares a son and daughter with ex Christina Haack (now Hall), telling the outlet that another baby on the way is “just the icing on the cake.” His new wife added that he was a “good father” to his older children, which is one of the reasons he changed his original plans not to have children.
Interestingly, the couple said Tarek El Moussa had a “strange feeling” that Heather was pregnant prior to the test. Initially, the results came “undetected”, but three tests later, and the rest is history. (Or, at least, it will soon be very messy if diapers have something to say about it.) The 34-year-old real estate agent chose to reveal the positive test to her husband in a confetti-filled gift box with a baby onesie. She thinks about this moment and says:
I swear, it was 30 seconds she was trying to put it together. I started crying because it was a moment of emotion and relief. He was so happy. We hugged, hugged and kissed.
While it wasn’t necessarily a long road for Heather Rae Young and Tarek El Moussa to get pregnant, it was a bumpy road. In the beginning they I have some less than ideal news in terms of the number of healthy follicles they had for an embryo transfer. However, things come to an end took an exciting turn in January when the couple informed fans that they have five good embryos ready for genetic testing. Apparently Tarek thinks she’s a girl. Meanwhile, Heather has hinted that she is now expecting a “little mini Heather”.
