“We will fight”: Emmanuel Macron takes Emily’s place in Paris

Emily in Paris in Rome

Season 4 ofEmily in Paris once again offered its share of twists and turns to Netflix subscribers. After (finally) breaking up with Gabriel, Emily falls under the spell of Marcello Muratori, a wealthy Italian businessman, who lives in suburbs of Rome with his family. And since things were going well, the Grateau Agency managed to convince him to manage the marketing of the family textile company, which led to the opening of an office in Rome. And Sylvie obviously asked Emily to handle it.

The last episode of season 4 therefore ended with Emily very happy to start a new life in the Italian capital after experiencing so many setbacks in the French capital. One scene from the series even suggested that the next season could be called Emily in Rome and no longer Emily in Paris. And this is out of the question for President Emmanuel Macron

“We will fight”

In an exclusive interview granted to the American media VarietyEmmanuel Macron was asked about France’s cultural policy, from the Olympic Games to Taylor Swift included Emily in Paris. And the series has touched him personally since his wife, Brigitte Macron, made a very remarkable appearance in an episode of the fourth season.

Regarding the possibility that Emily leaves Paris for Rome, Emmanuel Macron was very clear: there is no question of it. He stated:

We will fight tirelessly. And we will ask them to stay in Paris! “Emily in Paris” in Rome makes no sense.

Regarding a possible cameo alongside his wife in season four, he simply responded that she was “much less attractive than Brigitte.” We therefore don’t know if Netflix has offered him an appearance.
