4. Featured Showrunner
lady wonder Head writer Bisha K Ali joins us for a great conversation, including spoilers for the Disney+ Marvel finale. Ali, whose credits include Sex education, four marriages and a funeral and wonder Loki, is also candid about exploring India’s divide in a teen soap and why it was important that the writers’ room was representative of the show they were making. “If it’s a global franchise… playing for people all over the world, then we can introduce other parts of the story that are deeply intertwined with the story you’ve already known, brought to the screen and become a part of. public imagination”, he says. Oh, and what about controlling the “mutant” name at the end? It was a bedroom photo for Marvel boss Kevin Feige, who approved x Men Reference. “It wasn’t in the first draft of the script,” says Ali. The writer-producer also discussed meeting with other Marvel showrunners on how to better navigate the larger MCU. “Being in the first phase of Marvel TV exposed me to its process and its people,” he notes.
5. Corner of Criticism
As usual, we’re twisting the knife on what to watch (or skip) this weekend. In this episode, he talks about Freeform everything is garbage hbo attempts and ESPN’s Derek Jeter docuseries Captain.
