The continuation of Silo reveals itself
Since the arrival ofAppleTV+the streaming service has distinguished itself by offering original, high-quality programming. Among the best known series is Silowhich takes place in an apocalyptic future. In this universe, humans have found refuge in a huge underground complex. On 144 floorswe find the different classes of society, ranging from the workers who must ensure the proper functioning of the generator, to the members of the government. If it seems like everyone can coexist, it’s partly out of fear of being kicked out. In case of crime the punishment is exile, where the air is unbreathable.
Created by Graham Yost based on the novels by Hugh Howey, Silo was a success in 2023. The public and the press agreed. And Apple TV+ logically renewed the show. However, the second season took a long time to produce. It’s been over a year now and the sequel is finally revealed with a trailer (video on the first page of the article).
Rebecca Ferguson tackles new mysteries
As we can see in these images, the second season of Silo will take another direction, foreseen from the end of the first chapter. We had in fact left Juliette, the heroine played Rebecca Fergusonleaves the silo after being banned. She, in turn, put on a wetsuit and ventured out. Except, unlike the previous people who collapsed after taking a few steps, Juliette kept moving forward. Seeing that the world is truly devastated, he will go to another compound where he will meet other survivors, who are not necessarily very welcoming.
At the same time, the government of its silos, and more specifically Bernard (Tim Robbins)will try to maintain balance by announcing the heroine’s death. Except that part of the population will not believe it and will rebel, and chaos will seem inevitable…
The main actors of Silo will return, such as Common and Iain Glen. Steve Zahn will be one of the new faces of this season 2, which will be waiting to be discovered from November 15th on AppleTV+. One episode will be published online every week, for a total of ten.
