Tatiana Maslany really liked the premise of She-Hulk, the Disney+ original series, even with an initial hesitation
star of She-Hulk: Defender of Heroesoriginal series of Disney+ at the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Tatiana Maslany opened up about why he agreed to participate in one of the biggest movie franchises, even with an initial hesitation.
During an interview with the magazine SFX, Maslany commented on the seizure before taking on the lead role in She-Hulk. As an actress, she looks for quality in characters over spectacle – and wasn’t sure if a TV series from the MCU produced by streaming would be able to offer that.
“I was always kind of nervous about stepping into a world like this because I value character above all else, and I just didn’t know how much that would exist in bigger projects,” confessed the artist. “But when I read the pilot, that was such an unexpected take on a superhero story. It’s so human. There are really great explorations of the mundanity of life in really great ways.”
“And also, [a produção] portrays something that really interests me, which is when you suddenly start to be seen as something; then you are seen as a thing, and you become a commodity,” continued Tatiana Maslany. “What this show does, but in a funny and unexpected way, is deal with that idea.”
She-Hulk: Why is the series’ CGI bad? website responds
After a long wait from many fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Disney+ officially released the first trailer for the series She-Hulk: Attorney at Lawtranslated into Brazilian Portuguese as She-Hulk: Defender of Heroes. However, the preview was heavily criticized on account of low-quality computer graphics (CGI).
After all, how can a multibillion-dollar production company have weak CGI? There are several possible explanations for why the show’s CG looks so bad. An important consideration is: because of the heavy use of visual effects, She-Hulk requires how much more of the budget is directed to cover these costs.

In addition, the visual effects industry is generally in a precarious state. According to a recent report by inverse, “the market has been in trouble for a long time,” with concerns about increasing studio demands and quality control. The same article explained how this is not the first time marvel studios encountered these problems – and the studio suffered in this regard with big-budget projects such as black Panther (2018).
While many concerns are legitimate, there are also reasons to be optimistic about the CGI of She-Hulk: Defender of Heroes. It is worth remembering how the trailer was released months before the official premiere of the series. Theoretically, the special effects still have a few months to improve.
