Just hours after setting the release date for “Amerí,” Duki presents “Barro”, the first extract from his long-awaited new album.
And it must be said that “Barro” is the testimony of the artist’s life. In fact, Duko chose to start with this song to tell the world his story. As he himself says in a 2022 record: “I didn’t give life a choice, there would never have been a plan B.”
The video clip of the first cut of “Amerí”, the album which will be released on October 31looks back on his journey: from Mauro Lombardo’s childhood to Duki’s shows at the Vélez, River and Bernabéu stadiums in Madrid.
Show all your way until you reach your present: His dream was so big that no obstacle could stop him.
The song, produced by Yesan and Asan, includes a fragment of “Barro Tal Vez” by Luis Alberto Spinetta: “If I don’t sing what I feel, I’m going to die inside.” This fragment reflects what Duko conveys in each song.
Barro is a look at the past but also the future, paving the way for “Amerí”, which symbolizes the search for growth and improvement, inspiration, ambitious goals and realized dreams.
