Armie Hammer launches podcast after accusations of cannibalism and sexual abuse

The first episode of ‘The Armie HammerTime Podcast’ is now available

Armie Hammer has a new project. On Monday the 28th, he announced the launch of The Armie HammerTime Podcastwith the description referencing his accusations of cannibalism: “Armie sits down with extraordinary people of all kinds as he rebuilds his own life. Don’t worry… we feed him before every episode.”

“Some of you are going to love this and some of you are going to fucking hate it,” he said. Hammer by promoting the podcast in a video published on Instagram. “I want to have long, interesting conversations with people who have tools, skills, or have acquired wisdom — or even know random things that I don’t know. I want to learn.”

“So, it’s going to be a kind of diary, or a record, of how I’m rebuilding my life,” he continued. “I’m going to let you into my world a little.”

The program’s first guest was the actor Tom Arnoldwith whom Hammer talked about addictions, rehabilitation, childhood and fame.

What happened

Armie Hammer divorced from Elizabeth Chambers six months before allegations of sexual abuse and violent sexual fantasies became public in January 2021. That year, an Instagram account called House of Effie shared a series of allegations against Hammer, including rape, physical abuse and fetishes involving cannibalism.

THE Peoplethe actor’s lawyer, Andrew Brettlerdenied the allegations and stated that the relationship between Hammer with Effiewhose real name was not revealed, was “completely consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance.”

Oliver’s interpreter in Call Me By Your Name (2017), left projects such as Armed Marriage (2022), The Offer (2022) and the Broadway show The Minutes.

In February 2023, Hammer was still living in the Cayman Islands, where his family also lives. Armie does not believe he will return to Hollywood, due to the controversies he has been involved in. “Nobody’s going to hire me. Nobody’s going to vouch for me. I can’t finance a project — nothing,” he said in 2022. “And nobody’s going to contact me, because if they hire me, then they’re people who support abusers.”

Although the Los Angeles District Attorney initiated an investigation against Hammerthe case was not taken forward. “Due to the complexity of the relationship and the inability to prove a non-consensual and forced sexual encounter, we were unable to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt,” it found. The actor returned to social media in November 2023, after deleting all previous publications, even sharing photos alongside his cousins, in Los Angeles. Hammer he even got engaged to Marina Grisin October of the same year, but the couple separated in January 2024.
