Tessa Thompson calls a Thor 4 blooper that Taika Waititi inadvertently left behind in the film

It is not a secret amazing movies there are many moving parts behind the scenes that take a concept from paper to the big screen. And in the latest version Thor: love and thunderdirector Taika Waititi balances a fun comic tone with heavier themes and other elements like screaming space goats, Russell Crowe’s Ridiculous Zeus and other similar things. In the midst of it all, Waititi apparently got it wrong to play Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie in the final film, as the actress noted and pointed out.

Taika Waititi and Tessa Thompson recently teamed up dressing table series of Notes on a scene, in which directors and actors dive deep into a single scene from a film and explain everything that happens within it. I’ll be honest, I didn’t notice that little movie bug when I caught it the fun emotional roller coaster they are Thor: love and thunder , but Tessa Thompson did it. While hanging out with Taika Waititi, she left a photo of her performance of hers in which she is supposed to react to Thor’s awakening by Chris Hemsworth from Shared Vision with the Asguardian children. In a brief moment, Valkyrie seems to react with surprise to something for no reason.

Taika Waititi laughed embarrassed at the revelation and admitted he never noticed it. Tessa Thompson ignores him and laughs, saying that she “doesn’t care” and she thinks she is “pretty funny”. As she also commented, she “she doesn’t make sense” but she “she loves it”. Also in Thompson’s words:

Acting made sense because he had woken up. He would say ‘Ah!’ and so this was my reaction. But now I just do it for no reason, which is great, and also an indication of how sometimes someone can make a performance crazy when it’s not.

More than anything else, this little editing mistake is more fun than anything else. Next time we take Thor: love and thunder we can watch the brief moment and laugh like Waititi and Thompson did. It’s also a reminder that there’s a lot going on to make a Marvel movie like this one, some bugs will creep in from time to time. It’s rare (and funny in this case) to see the actor point out to his director in a video recording.
