The Candlemas Foura new Netflix miniseries, which recalls the Candelária Massacre, in which eight young people were murdered near the Candelária Church, in the center of Rio de Janeiro, on July 23, 1993, premieres on the streaming platform this Wednesday (30 ).

The news follows the 36 hours that precede the event, marked in the history of Brazil as one of the most tragic, from the points of view of four children: Douglas (Samuel Silva), Seven (Patrick Congo), Jesus (Andrey Marques) and Popcorn (Wendy Queiroz), who face challenges to survive in Rio de Janeiro, while nurturing hope for a different future.
