After launching the feature film Maniac do Parque, based on the crimes of Francisco de Assis Pereira, the streaming platform goes further with a new documentary series
Days after launch Park Maniacfeature film starring Silvero Pereira (Nightjar), Prime Video addresses the case of Francisco de Assis Pereiraknown by his nickname for attacking and killing women in the 1990s, in a new documentary series, Park Maniac: The Untold Storywhich arrives in the streaming platform’s catalog this Friday, November 1st.
In the novelty, unlike the film, which explored the case through the fictional character of Giovanna Grigio (The Five), the focus is entirely on the stories of the victims of Park Maniac. Written and directed by the journalist Thais Nuneswho also worked on the film, the documentary series revisits the crimes from the perspective of survivors and the families of women murdered by the serial killer.
With four episodes, now available on streaming, Park Maniac: The Untold Story was carried out by examining more than 20,000 pages of the criminal case and interviews with more than 50 people, and promises to bring surprising revelations and never-before-seen audio from the serial killer.
