Bryan Cranston had hoped to make it to the All-Star Celebrity Softball Game at Dodger Stadium.
Instead, the “Breaking Bad” actor was hit.
Cranston was hit in the right shoulder by a bat from Grammy winner Anthony Ramos as they pitched side by side in makeshift cages outside the stadium on Saturday night.
Cranston, 66, bent over for a few minutes before heading to a nearby trailer.
“I’m definitely going to get an injury,” Cranston said after recovering. “I could be more of a fan of this game.”
The Tony, Emmy and Olivier award winner later felt well enough to play at Dodger Stadium. He took the third blow and had a mocking argument with the referee.
Cranston played for a Los Angeles team that lost to Brooklyn 15-13. Former San Francisco Giants star Hunter Pence hit two home runs in Brooklyn and was booed repeatedly by the Los Angeles crowd.
Best known for his role as Walter White on the television series “Breaking Bad”, Cranston wore an Albuquerque Isotopes hat in the scene where White meets attorney Saul Goodman, now the main character of the spin-off series. Better Call Saul.
Cranston has appeared in a few games for the Triple-A Isotopes, and he and his “Breaking Bad” co-star Aaron Paul are slated to pitch the first pitch there on July 30th.
The Major League Baseball All-Star Game is Tuesday at Dodger Stadium.
