Oscar Isaac debuted at Marvel with Disney+ series Moon Knight
Oscar Isaac did not sign a contract for other productions of Marvel Besides moon knight (2022). In an interview with Variety, the actor spoke about his long-term commitment to the studio, which he calls “golden handcuffs.” (via Omelet)
“I was reticent about it. And luckily, we all agree that we’re going to focus on that series. That’s the story. And if there’s any future, I think it depends on whether people like it and want to see more, and if we can find a story worth telling,” he said.
In an interview with Empire Magazine, Isaac also talked about the future of moon knight at Marvel: “I love playing him. Particularly Steven. I hope to be able to visit you again. I love him so much. I feel that he is someone real, who lives in the world. It’s been a long time since I felt that kind of connection.” Jeremy Slaterwriter of the series, agreed Isaac: “I can’t imagine this being the last time you’ll see the moon knight at the MCU. He is very fun.”
