This is Paris: an intrigue in the heart of the Parisian nights

With This is Paris!(based on the song by Mistinguett) France 2 takes viewers behind the scenes of All of Parisan imaginary cabaret that echoes great institutions such as Paradis Latin or the Moulin Rouge. The plot follows Gaspard Berthille (Alex Lutz), cabaret director and heir to a long family tradition. But unlike his father, Dary, a charismatic former magazine leader, Gaspard struggles to maintain establishment appeal.

Faced with shows considered too classic and increasingly innovative competition, Gaspard plans to sell the cabaret. Still, he is given one last chance : designing a new magazine, capable of reconnecting with the spirit of the great years by adapting to the expectations of a contemporary audience.

Through this story, the series offers a reflection on the challenges faced by historic cultural places: how to preserve a heritage while renewing itself? Tout-Paris thus becomes the symbol of the tensions between tradition and modernity, with the often little-known world of cabaret as a backdrop.
