In a post made on Twitter, currently called X, Elon Musk opined that ‘many game studios belong to large corporations’
Entrepreneur and owner of companies such as Tesla and X (previously called Twitter), Elon Musk wants to move on to another industrial sector: games. The billionaire is interested in opening a studio that produces electronic games with Artificial intelligence (AI).
However, this new desire of the tycoon is somewhat frivolous, because the games industry is the one that raises the most money annually, in addition to having releases that are interesting and revolutionary, as in the case of Metaphor: ReFantazio (2024), from ATLUS/Studio Zero. It’s worth remembering how, in the entertainment business, video games made more money than cinema and music combined.
In 2022, the gaming industry will generate approximately US$ 184.5 billion, while music and cinema will earn, respectively, US$ 26.2 billion and US$ 25.9 billion, according to information published in Variety.
In a post on Twitter made last Wednesday, 27th, Billy Markuscreator of Dogecoincomplained about “sealing” in video games – just because some games feature minorities in prominent roles. “I don’t understand how game developers and games journalism have been so ideologically captured,” he wrote. “Gamers have always been trolls, anti-greedy, anti-lying corporations. [Eles] They know when someone is a stranger.”
In response, Musk commented on how “many game studios belong to large corporations,” as well as demonstrating interest in creating a gaming company AI to “make games great again.” See below:
i don’t understand how game developers and game journalism got so ideologically captured
gamers have always been trolls, anti-greedy corporations, anti-bs
gamers have always rejected dumb manipulative bs, and can tell when someone is an outsider poser
why lean into the bs?
