Keira Knightley can now be seen Black Doves on Netflix

Keira Knightley already has a brilliant filmography. He has played several notable roles throughout his career, in films such as Pride and prejudice, Come back to me, The imitation game or obviously the saga Pirates of the Caribbean. But until now he hadn’t had any major roles in a series. However, the situation has since changed the british actress is now the protagonist of Black Doves.

Spy series, Black Doves was put online this Thursday 5 December on Netflix. Play Keira Knightley Helen Webb, a woman who hides her identity as a spy from her family. When her lover Jason is murdered, she is forced to fights for his survival against the assassins sent against him. The plot of the show created by Joe Barton is set in London, during the Christmas period.

A spy thriller with an exceptional cast

Keira Knightley isn’t the only famous actress to appear in the cast of Black Doves. Sarah Lancashireknown for her role in Happy Valleyplays the boss of the main character, Reed. Following the murder of Jason, played by Andrea Kojian assassin and former friend of Helen’s, named Sam and played by Ben Whishawhe joins her to protect her.

Together, Helen and Sam will embark a bloody quest to find out who killed Jason. They will then be brought to light a vast conspiracyinvolving the London underworld and linked to an imminent geopolitical crisis. Faced with this discovery, the characters played by Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw will be forced to do so question the cost of their moral choices.

The sequel is already planned

The first season of Black Doves is composed of six episodes. You can watch them now on Netflix, and as with this mystery series, it should quickly crack the Top 10. And if you like the adventures of Helen Webb, good news sincethey won’t stop here.

As explained by Netflix in a press release, Black Doves we will return for a second season. On the other hand, the streaming service has not yet provided more details on this new chapter. We don’t know, for example, if this will also have six episodes. Or when it will come out.
