Since 2019, the Buenos Aires Trap positions itself as a meeting point for emerging and established artists of the kind. In its first edition, the festival took place at the Palermo Hippodrome, but this year it has taken on a considerable scale by moving to the City Park, with four stages that reflect the diversity and strength of the scene.
Argentine trap has traveled a remarkable path: from improvisations in neighborhood squares to filling stadiums in record time. Today, it is one of the most relevant genres of local music, marking generations and consolidating careers. In this context, the festival has become a platform for discovering new talents and consecrating emblematic figures.
The first day outdoors offered memorable moments: from the unique energy of Nicki Nicole, through the explosive closing of Duki, to the surprise of the festival, the appearance of Airbag, who brought his rock imprint to the event.
The second day was not far away. Cazzu marked his triumphant return to the stage, and the international touch came from Eladio Carrión. But the final touch was Bizarrap, who dazzled the audience with a show blending technology, striking visuals and unforgettable collaborations.
In addition to music, inspiring talks
As part of the festival, Mercado Libre presented “La Caja”, a free and open access space where participants can enjoy exclusive discussions with renowned artists.
With a capacity of 200 people, the audience was able to immerse themselves in the cultural phenomenon of trap and interact with artists such as Nicki Nicole, Lit Killah and Neo Pistea, among others.
In addition, “Creators” such as Grego Rosello, Nachito Elizalde and La Tora participated in the programming. and Daniel Rabinovich, COO MercadoLibre, who spoke about “art and professional development.” “It was a conference different from the others because I talked about my personal experience and my relationship with art. I tried to get the message out to people that you don’t have to choose between having a career or doing art, but that if you have hobbies you can do both and sometimes, Even if it doesn’t seem like it, you may end up becoming a better professional for having ‘distracted’ yourself by making a little art,” explained the company director.
Furthermore, regarding the youngest, he stressed: “I want them not to be too limited by mandates, that they do the things they like, life is very long. It’s also good to leave a message to entrepreneurs, there were many of them here, including many young entrepreneurs, who have to deal with frustration. “They seem like heroes to me and they end up being the real driving forces of a country.”
The “Free Market Box” thus served to connect artists and the public but also to connect generations and inspire the youngest.
