During the panel of San Diego Comic-Con 2022 the first official trailer of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor of Thievesan anticipated live-action adaptation of the popular fantasy RPG that will soon hit theaters worldwide March 3, 2023.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor of the Thieves brings the extraordinary world and spirit of the legendary RPG to the big screen in a fun and action-packed adventure. A charming thief and a group of unlikely adventurers pull off the heist of the century by recovering a lost relic. But things go wrong when the group encounters the wrong people.
Synopsis:
A former harpist turned thief escapes from prison with his barbarian companion to reunite with a talentless wizard and druid, a new addition to the group. All to try to score a hit against the scammer who stole the loot the group captured in the previous hit. Because of the scammer, the two heroes ended up in jail and the scammer himself became the Lord of Neverwinter. The group then seeks revenge, what they don’t know is that the traitor is allied with a powerful Red Wizard who has more sinister things in store.

Previously, the popular fantasy role-playing game was adapted into a dubious movie of the same name released in 2000 by New Line, which failed to impress audiences or critics. In 2015, Warner Bros. acquired the film rights and announced a further film adaptation of the game, with Ansel Elgort listed as the favorite for the starring role. Eventually Paramount came along thanks to an exclusive manufacturing deal with Hasbro. In addition to the film currently in production, the franchise from DD it is also slated to be expanded with a live-action TV series, which should feature the iconic drow Drizzt Do’Urden.
Produced by Paramount and Hasbro, the film was directed and written by Jonathan Goldstein And John Francis Daleywhich he joined Jeremy Latcham in the role of producer. In the cast we find Hugh Grant, Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Sophia LillisAnd Regé-Jean Page, Chloe Coleman, Jason WongAnd Daisy head.
