This series adapted from a literary masterpiece is very strong on Netflix

The series One hundred years of solitudewhose first eight episodes were released on Netflix on December 11, is based on the novel of the same name written by Gabriel García Márquez. This is considered a masterpiece of literature. As the title suggests, the story spans several decades. It takes place in Macondoa fictional city in Colombia. It recounts over seven generations, the history of the Buendía familywhose patriarch, José Arcadio, founded Macondo.

Gabriel García Márquez’s novel has sold more than 50 million copies. It is also part of the list of 100 best books of all time established by the Norwegian Book Circle in 2002, which brought together proposals from 100 writers from different countries. Adapt One hundred years of solitude it was therefore in series particularly ambitious. But, judging by the popularity of the Netflix show, the bet was successful.
