A court in Puerto Rico has “filed” a restraining order against star Ricky Martin, meaning the case is closed, a court official said on Thursday.
“The petitioner voluntarily withdrew the complaint; Therefore, the case is closed and no further proceedings are required,” a spokesperson, who was not authorized to be named under court rules, told the Associated Press.
A judge issued a restraining order against the Puerto Rican singer in early July. The warrant was filed under Puerto Rico’s Domestic Violence Act, but police did not provide additional details, including who requested the warrant.

Martin recently tweeted that the order was based on “completely false” accusations and that he would approach the process “with the responsibility that characterizes me.”
A hearing was scheduled for Thursday, but it was held behind closed doors and the parties attended virtually. Several media and camera reporters were waiting outside the courthouse.
