Comedy, shown between 2011 and 2015, was cited as a reference after Fernanda Torres’ victory in the Best Actress in a Drama Film category
Fernanda Torres made history by becoming the first Brazilian artist to win the Best Actress in a Drama Film category at the 82nd edition of Golden Globewhich took place last Sunday (5), in Beverly Hills, California, in the United States.
Although the actress’s victory was related to her performance as Eunice Paiva in I’m Still Herefilm by Walter Salles (Central Brazil), another work by Torres drew even more attention after being referenced by the awards: the comedy Slaps & Kissesshown by Globo between 2011 and 2015.
As the actress took the stage at the awards ceremony, a message on the screen said that “Torres became known for her work in comedy, appearing in the popular sitcom Brazilian Slaps & Kisses“which was translated into Slaps & Kisses. Check it out:

What is the story of I’m Still Here?
Based on the book of the same name by Marcelo Rubens Paiva, I’m Still Hereis set in Rio de Janeiro, in the early 1970s, amid the military dictatorship, and tells the story of Eunicemother of five children, who becomes involved in an endless search for the truth after her husband, Rubensbe taken away by undercover police officers and disappear.
The film stars Fernanda Torres (End) and also has Fernanda Montenegro (The Invisible Life), Selton Mello (The Movie of My Life), Maeve Jinkings (Toll), Antonio Saboia (Private Destination), Humberto Carrão (Marighella) and Marjorie Estiano (Under pressure) in the cast. Watch the trailer:
