By promoting the Snyder Cut’s justice league, Zack Snyder posted a photo with a quote made famous by the fascist dictator, Benito Mussolini.
The image posted on Vero shows JL’s movie with the sentence in orange. Reading the quote
“If I advance, follow me, if I retreat, kill me, if I die avenge me.”
The words were originally spoken by Catholic and Royal Army general Henri de la Rochejaquelein during the French Revolution. But today, the quote is mostly associated with the rallying cry of the Italian fascist dictator, Benito Mussolini, who was an ally of Hitler’s Germany during World War II.
It is not known why Snyder shared this photo, it could refer to the fact that Jim Lee himself confirmed that there are no plans regarding the continuation of the Snyder verse. Especially in light of the discovery that the campaign for the release of the Snyder Cut was mostly run by bots.
