AMC trailer interview with a vampire The series, in the spirit of its source material, is a moody, bloody affair.
The cable network revealed the trailer during its Comic-Con panel on Saturday, along with a premiere date: the night of October 22, following its premiere. Living Dead’The last group of episodes. the first two episodes interview with a vampire will be available that night on AMC+.
The series stars Sam Reid (the news reader) as the vampire Lestat and Jacob Anderson (Game of throneshear)) as Louis de Pointe du Lac, who recounts Lestat’s conversion in the present. The series also stars Bailey Bass, Eric Bogosian and Asad Zaman.
While the trailer follows Rice’s story in some ways, there are a few changes, notably Lewis, who is not enslaved in the late 18th century but is a black man living in early 20th century New Orleans. Boghossian’s Daniel Molloy is also described as older than he is in the book, although Daniel’s character description says he “is given a second chance at the interview of his life”.

of rice the vampire chronicles Books have come a long way to AMC. Rice announced in November 2016 that she had regained the theatrical rights to the novels and was working on creating a television series based on the books. Paramount Television Studios and Anonymous Content acquired the rights to the franchise in early 2017, along with the bestselling adaptation of the novels by Rice’s son Christopher. Bryan Fuller joined the project as showrunner in early 2018, but stepped down shortly thereafter.
In July 2018, the vampire chronicles The series moved to Hulu, which outperformed several other channels. Dee Johnson (nashville) joined as showrunner in February 2019. The rights to Paramount and Anonymous expired in late 2019, causing the project to end up on Hulu and freeing Rice to buy back the rights. They landed on AMC Networks The Life of the Mayfair Witches Books are also part of the package.
Rollin Jones (perry masonlisten)) is adapted from the novel and serves as the showrunner for the series. He is executive producer with Mark Johnson (You better call Saul.), Alan Taylor (who directed the first two episodes), and Christopher Rice. Anne Rice, who died in December 2021, is also an executive producer.
