It’s finish. Puerto Rico justice gave Ricky Martin the right in nephew’s domestic violence complaint. Thus, the file was closed. And the singer expressed his happiness.
In a post on his Twitter and Instagram accounts, the artist penned a brief message in English, “The truth prevails” (the truth prevails) along with an image of his legal team’s statement reporting the court’s decision.
Ricky explained that “I’ve never had to deal with something so painful.” and that he was “victim of a lie”, after filing against him the protective order requested by his nephew, Dennis Yadiel Sánchez.
“Unfortunately, the attack came from a family member who suffers from mental problems. The only thing I wish for him is the best, that he finds the light,” the artist said.
And I add:Today I have to heal because I have very, very, very bad. I will find calm, I will find the silence necessary to see the light at the end of the road.”
How had it all started? Dennis Yadiel Sánchez, 21, alleged at the time that he had been romantically involved with Ricky Martin for seven months and that after the breakup his uncle bullied him and approached his home at several occasions.
But that, it seems, has come to an end. Much to Ricky’s relief. And his fans, of course.
