“I think she’s ready to explore the world outside the halls of East High,” the showrunner said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “And the very olivia had such a monumental explosion in the music industry that it felt like the right thing to do. […] We are all proud to support her.”
Federle He added: “This season, it’s about trying to give your character a proper send-off, while also leaving room for other characters to really step into the fray and stand out. And personally, it’s a joy to see the music of olivia explode in such a big way. It was so much fun having her back and reminiscing about the beginning.”
