tuning (2019) has become one of the most popular Brazilian productions in Netflix in the last times. The series is produced by Kondzillaproducer of funk clips and owner of one of the biggest channels on Brazilian Youtube.
With the release of its 3rd season, the series surpassed some of the biggest hits on the platform and secured a prominent position in the Top 10 of streaming. With the dramatic and realistic storyline about the favelas of Brazil, fans began to wonder if the story is based on facts of Konrad Cunha Dantas.

The creator of the project talked to the presenter and comedian Danilo Gentilli about the script conception, revealing what would be real and what would be fiction in the plot. Furthermore, Kondzilla told what their expectations are with the story.
It is a series that involves the universe of music, but it is not musical. It’s based on real events, things we’ve heard, stories from the neighbor, the guy, the friend. But of course it’s based, it’s fiction.
The producer’s idea is to represent on screen the dreams and struggles that favela residents face on a daily basis. “When we developed the first (season), we were already thinking about the second and third”, explained the producer.
Originally, the producer created a story about three friends who leave the favela to buy expensive sneakers. At first, the concept would be worked on as a short film.
However, after talking to producers Rita Moraes and Felipe Braga, KondZilla decided to turn the plot into a TV series. Also in the interview, Kondzilla commented that the producer Losbragasresponsible for the comedy Samantha! (2018) was crucial to sell the project to the platform.
