Jeff Baena passed away in early January this year; Plaza honored her husband during an appearance at SNL

Aubrey Plaza attended the 50th anniversary special Saturday Night Live – the SNL50: The Anniversary Special – where he paid tribute to his deceased husband, JeffBaena.

The actress was wearing a black suit with a tie-dye t-shirt. The look refers to the couple’s memories: in December 2021, when Plaza attended The Drew Barrymore Show (via People), she revealed that she wore less traditional clothes with her husband in the wedding.

Jeff He was really interested in tie-dye dyeing during quarantine, “he said.” So I decided that he and I would use Tie-Dye pajamas he had made for us. ”

Death

Baenadirector and screenwriter, died at age 47, confirmed the Los Angeles County Forensic Medical Institute on Saturday, 4. His body was found on January 3, around 10:30 am, by an assistant in a home in Los Angeles .

About Jeff Baena

The filmmaker was born in Miami and studied at New York University. After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles, where he began his career.

Baena gained notoriety when co-roteirizing the film Huckabees – Life is a comedy (2004), starring Jason Schwartzman, Jude Law and Naomi Watts. In 2014, he made his debut as director in Life after Bethwith Plaza in the cast.

Seven years later, he created the anthological series Cinema toastdisplayed at Showtime, which consecrated the debut of Plaza as director. The two started the relationship in 2011 and, ten years later, married, maintaining the romance private.
