Nicki Minaj revealed last Thursday, July 28, the trailer for its documentary series. Entitled Nickithe project will be divided into six parts and intends to show the rise to fame and difficulties behind the rapper’s career.
in the trailer, Minaj is seen reflecting on the beginning of it all. Young, the artist says: “Female rappers weren’t really on the charts at the time. I’m fighting for the girls who never thought they could win.”
Nicki Minaj appears as an unknown young rapper, striving for success and respect as the only female hip-hop singer in the industry. The rapper also opens up about struggling with medication to get through the tough times and how she finally learned to love herself.
Kenneth “Zoo” Pettyhusband of Minajmakes a cameo as he discusses the moment when the singer “became the strongest person I’ve ever been in my life.”
On her Instagram, the rapper stated that the project took some time to perfect and the footage will show “intimate, delicate, electrifying and inspiring moments”. The singer revealed that she is still looking for a platform to publicize the six episodes of the production.
