The story goes on Veronica Torres (Taina Müller), who worked as a clerk at the São Paulo Homicide Police Station. After witnessing a suicide, veronica decides to investigate cases involving abused and physically raped women and ends up finding a large network of corruption.

What is the story of season 2 of Good morning, Veronica?

In the 2nd season of Good morning, Veronica, the titular protagonist is forced to change her identity and stay away from her family. In the midst of this complex scenario, veronica does everything to unmask the leader of a criminal organization that promotes corruption and abuses in the three spheres of power in the country.

Reynaldo Gianecchini interprets Matias Carneirothe leader of the religious sect who veronica fight to defeat. The character hides his crimes behind a “good citizen” and “man of faith”, but he sexually abuses women by promising them the cure for different ailments, in addition to presiding over an orphanage whose patrons are the Catholic saints Cosme et al. Damian.

At the end of June, Brown went through a violent exposure after reporting a pregnancy as a result of sexual abuse, a fact that led the 21-year-old actress to give the child up for adoption. In the face of what happened, the public was concerned about reproducing the sexual harassment scenes recorded by the actress.

But in the end, the scenes will be shown uncut. The new episodes were already recorded when the case came to light and, after analysis by the platform, they were not submitted to a new edition.

Matias Carneiro and João de Deus

A false prophet, who promises the thousands of faithful who go to his temple the cure for various ills. When he identifies a vulnerable woman, he invites the girl for special treatment – but it’s all just a front for a routine of sexual and psychological abuse.

The narrative recalls the crimes reported against Joao Teixeira de Fariaor John of God, who was once one of the most famous mediums in Brazil, known for his gift of healing, before being sentenced to 19 years in prison for sexually abusing the faithful. Despite the similarity, Taina Müller confirmed in an interview with Folha de S. Paulo that the story is not based on the case of the religious leader.
